The purpose of this study was to prepare and validate the Islamic Republic of Iran (Naja) Police Force Job Selection Questionnaire. The target population consisted of all law enforcement personnel including managers, experts and role-makers and the sample consisted of 2422 of 6 law enforcement, traffic, information, awareness, administrative and support and border guards randomly selected. The present study was conducted in three stages in order to provide the desired tool. In the first stage, the characteristics and indices required of the specialized disciplines of the police force in the six mentioned categories were described in terms of their job descriptions, theoretical foundations, and researches and role-makers' views. In the second stage, to check the reliability and validity, the initial questionnaire was administered to managers and experts with a sample size of 443. Finally, the third questionnaire was administered to 1011 police officers in order to answer the research questions. The research method is descriptive and the findings of the above three stages show that firstly the required characteristics of the six classes are wide and varied. Second, the initial questionnaire has acceptable levels of reliability and validity. Thirdly, the main questionnaire had a reliability coefficient of 0.96, which was 0.89 in retest methods and 0.83 in two halves. Also the present questionnaire has face validity, content validity, discriminative and concurrent validity so that it can distinguish between strong and weak groups. On the other hand, based on the analysis of the findings, it was found that in the specialized disciplines of the police force, besides the discipline, they had specific characteristics and in addition to common characteristics. |
