Abstract Since speeding is one of the most common violations among drivers, a lot of survey have been studied the factors affecting driver choice of speed. In this research, most of freeway and highway of Isfahan city have been studied by registration driver’s speed and stopped them to complete a questionnaire. Driver’s age, time form taking license and education as human factors and car’s age, engine power and type of insurance as vehicle factors have been surveyed. Result of chi-square test showed that there is a significant relation between driver’s speed as dependent variable versus human and vehicle factors as independent variable. The results confirm that speed first increase by driver’s age, experiment and education level and then decrease however drivers choice higher speed with newer and more powerful car with more general insurance. |
