Responsibility as a trait derives from a decisive decision at a time of life. In other words, people under the influence of various social and educative factors become responsible, and consider it in procedure of their lives. In fact, Police directors and commanders should note to the importance, sensitivity and size of their organizational responsibility. This study aims to investigate the relationship between responsibility’s aspects and commanders’ performance in Ardabil’s police stations and checkpoints. Moreover, the concise and definition of the responsibility, its aspects, method of increasing and decreasing of various perspectives on responsibility and its effect on Police commanders and chiefs performance were investigated. In this descriptive-correlational study 80 participants selected from among the commanders and chiefs of the police stations and checkpoints in Ardabil province through systematic sampling. Data collected through Neo Personality Inventory and Tariffs Performance Assessment and analyzed by Pearson product correlational analysis. Findings reveal that first of all, there is a significant relationship between discipline, conscientiousness, double effort, caution in doing things by the Police stations and checkpoints commanders and their performance. Secondly, there is not any significant relationship between some features such as the adequacy and self control and performance of commanders and chiefs of police. Thirdly, increasing in some other features such as degrees, years of service, years of management, chiefs’ age, will be effective in increasing the responsibility of commanders. It is concluded that if commanders and chiefs observe the order and its preliminaries, their performance and responsibility will improve. In the success-orientation dimension, managers trying to achieve organizational goals will have positive performance, if they are careful and consider all aspects. |
