Organizational behavior results from offering of organizational training and other factors, shaping through specific goal-setting during and after the course. Police University is the only higher education center in the area of law enforcement, charged with the responsibility for training officers. In the session held with the aim of introducing the then commander of the University in 2005, Brigadier General Dr. EsmaeilAhmadimoghaddam mentioned four measures affecting students' behavior: discipline, religious training, physical fitness, and scientific training, demanding the University to take them. This study aims at investigating the relationship between the fourfold measures of the honorable Commander of NAJA and the organizational behavior of Police University cadets. The study is of applied nature, conducted with correlation method. In order to do the study, a population composed of 2024 subjects, including 1724 male and 300 female students was selected, and a statistical sample comprising 330 subjects, divided into 220 male and 110 female cadets was randomly selected in a stratified sampling, using Moregan's Table. Data were gathered from the sample selected using interviews, observation, library research and through developing a questionnaire for organizational behavior and fourfold measures upon administering of a pre-test and crossing out unconfirmed items and advisor's approval. Item validity was achieved via seeking opinions of lecturers, commanders, and students and final approval of the advisor, and item reliability was attained using them as well as the 90%-confirmation result of computing correlation by means of Pearson's correlation coefficient, and the difference between male and female students was determined using T-test. Results obtained suggest that there is a significant, independent relationship between the abovementioned four measures and organizational behavior of the students with a 95-percent reliability and 5-percent level of error; and there is no difference between the impact of these measures on male students and that of the measures on female students. Emphasizing the fourfold issues, Police University can therefore train cadets approved in acquiring the organizational behavior expected by NAJA. |
