ay, the business environment has created a high level of uncertainty and turbulent behavior in supply chains. Supply chains face major challenges and threats such as natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, storms, fires), cyberattacks, sanctions, supply chain disruptions, production and distribution, and so on. Hence, supply chain management is examined in terms of the types of legal, strategic, organizational, and competitive perspectives. However, the role of the global supply chain response has not been adequately addressed as an important lever to overcome severe supply chain disruptions. Hence, the need for a supply chain repair process to face high levels of complexity, unpredictable events, and threats. The purpose of this study is to review the concepts discussed in this area, based on the studies of manufacturing companies in the countries facing the threat and challenge in the supply chain. This research discusses the supply chain repair process after severe natural disasters and human disorders, and reflects the supply chain lessons in terms of disaster planning and response. The critical capabilities of supply chain information, transport capability, and dispersion are reviewed in this paper. Given the increased awareness of the above, the purpose of this study is to examine the supply chain risks in more detail and to examine the vulnerability of the supply chain. This study shows how manufacturing companies responded to earthquakes, tsunamis, threats, challenges and disasters. |
